The field-work ethical assessment (including the Prior Informed Consent Form, a list of interview topics, the Information Sheet and the e-risk assessment) was submitted to the Strathclyde University Ethical Board and is now waiting for approval.
More info will be made available once approval is granted.
The delay in the obtainment of the Ethical Approval is due to the covid-19 pandemic that changed the health and safety conditions of the field work. The Strathclyde Ethics Committee had in fact advised to put on hold all new fieldwork activities up until the end of July 2020.
Once, approval is obtained, most activities will be carried out remotely to guarantee the health and safety of the interviewer and interviewees. Face to face meetings will be minimized and the right moment to carry them out will be selected looking at the latest news on COVID-19. In situ research will be done if, and only if, the COVID-19 pandemic reduces enough for States and municipalities to lift travel restrictions and in person meetings restrictions.
